Kelley also landed eight times and signed the Davis-Monthan Airfield Register at Tucson, AZ. His first landing was on Monday, February 24, 1930 at 2:45PM. He arrived from San Diego, CA with four unidentified passengers in the Solar he identified as NX258V (a model MS-1). They noted no departure destination. The aircraft in the photograph at right is not the Solar.

His second visit was on Tuesday September 9, 1930 at 1:45PM. He flew NC960W, a Stinson Junior SM-8A. He carried one unidentified passenger from Los Angeles, CA Mines Field, to Glendale, CA as their final destination. There are no clues in the Register regarding the purpose of either flight.
